Thinking of getting a blunderbuss kit. Dose anyone have the kit from traditions? How does it shoot?

A friend of mine had one, I have to say it was very cartoonish. I can't say how it shot, he never really shot it that much.

thats a funky weapon, its only like 45 cal, doesnt look anything like any Ive seen, buy an India made from loyalist, redo it and make it your own

The ones I found on the web were all .54 caliber smoothbores.

That would make them very close to a 30 guage shotgun.

Don't do it you won't be happy. A blunderbus is meant to be flintlock! Those Traditions look cheesy. Buy a smoothbore and be happy. blunderbsses are prety much useless except for pirate events and the "cool factor". I have one and it's pretty much useless, mine is Belgian from Dixie gun Works.

I broke a left to right crossing clay using a 13 gauge, brass barreled blunderbus loaded with #8's.

God how I wish I had a movie :idunno:

Whent ahead and got one boy fun fun fun to shoot! Shot 30 grains of FFg and a .530 ball took 4 in smooth bore target shoot. Going to try some shot loads later today will let you know how it dose
