I got a Zoli Zouave Carbine today. It could use a little care. How well do the parts interchange between the various Italian makers?

It's a crapshoot.

Even parts from the same manufacturer may or may not fit. As they often times changed part dimensions and retooled.

What does "A little Care" mean?

If the rifle functions well as is, don't go looking for gremlins that aren't there. The rifle may function worse after you "Care" for it.

The square shank the hammer mounts on has started to round off the corners. So you have movement there.
Finding a tumbler that fits may prove difficult.

The ones Dixie had didn't fit my Zoli Zouave. The mainspring wouldn't fit after installing the tumbler.

Ended up removing the half cock notch all together. Nice not having the hammer fall to half cock all the time.

Parts interchange isn't a thing with the repops. You might get a part from another to fit with some work.
