Friends, our 2nd Amendment rights are always under attack and the NRA has been a constant for decades in helping fight that fight.
We have partnered with the NRA to offer you a discount on membership and Muzzleloading Forum gets a small percentage too of each membership, so you are supporting both the NRA and us.
Wanting to buy a Smith carbine in good shootable condition. Either an original or a Pietta reproduction. I can pay up to $2K. I live in Nevada. Thanks!
I have a cousin in Texas..... Seriously you shouldn't have much trouble finding one and it looks like you asked on the N-SSA forum too. An original even with reworked sights and a barrel reline will hold its value better than a Pietta but there are a lot of guys out there doing very well with Piettas (slightly tuned). Good luck.
Have an original and have owned a Pietta. Doubt $2k will get you a decent shooting original, but you have to ask. It looks like Pietta’s current MSRP is just under $1400 based on their website…. If in stock, and I don’t know what they are actually selling for. Good luck in your search.

Got a standing order in with EMF for the Pietta.
I’m an octogenarian so hoping they come back in stock soon.
See no sense in buying g a civil war era original for what I want to do with it. Same with a Sharps.
