I have a cousin in Texas..... Seriously you shouldn't have much trouble finding one and it looks like you asked on the N-SSA forum too. An original even with reworked sights and a barrel reline will hold its value better than a Pietta but there are a lot of guys out there doing very well with Piettas (slightly tuned). Good luck. :)
 
Have an original and have owned a Pietta. Doubt $2k will get you a decent shooting original, but you have to ask. It looks like Pietta’s current MSRP is just under $1400 based on their website…. If in stock, and I don’t know what they are actually selling for. Good luck in your search.
