(SOLD)Selling a repro Griswold and Gunnison .36. This pistol has a High Standard stamped Griswold & Gunnison barrel on it but I do not believe the rest of the pistol is High Standard. The top of the barrel is stamped HIGH STANDARD HAMDEN, CT. U.S.A The brass frame and plain cylinder are not marked and do not have the matching serial number like found on a High Standard. The trigger guard is a square back which was not on High Standard pistols. Numerick Arms does sell the original High Standard G&G trigger guards which are about $55. Previous owner must have like the square back look better. The bottom of the back strap frame has a partial number so that is for sure not High Standard. The grips are excellent and fit perfectly. Bore is excellent. This pistol has a very smooth action. I would say someone possibly did some work on it. Someone wanted to make their own G&G pistol. The High Standard barrel is rare. Asking $275 shipped were legal. Discreet PP, postal money order, or check held until clear. PM with questions or offers.
