Smith carbine SN 3822.

The carbine has been improved with a lighter trigger pull done by a gunsmith as well as a new brass front sight post zeroed for 100 yards and 40g of 3f powder.

the cleanout screw has also been replaced with a correct length one. I also have a complete set of spare screws and minor parts.

There is some small chips missing from the buttstock behind receiver.

Included with this carbine are several dozen red and black cases, 3 new nipples and a new mold from eras gone.

This is a complete setup to start shooting your smith.

$1100 plus 40 shipping.

Will trade for old black powder rifles.

What is the correct clean out screw length? Where did you get it and the front sight?

The correct lenght I do not know. But what was done to the gun by the gunsmith was standard shortening since they come from the factory too long and intrude into the flash channel and cause inconsistent ignition. The front sight was installed by a previous owner.
