UPDATE: I will sell the horn without the strap for $450 plus shipping in the US.

This is a really exceptional large horn and strap combo. The horn was made by Scott Sibley and Scrimshawed by his wife Cathy. If you aren’t familiar with their work in general, you may know the Sibley’s because of their popular book on powder horns. Interestingly, I can’t find a signature on the horn, but I emailed Scott some photos and he confirmed it is their work. You’re most welcome to do the same. You can find him in the CLA Artisan directory.

The strap is also quite a nice piece of work with lavenderish beads and ticking backing. I’m not certain who the craftsman is that made it.

I picked this up at an auction, so I’m including some of the auction photos since they show the details better than my photos. I’m including a few of mine with the obligatory screen name shot as well.

I’d consider trading towards a smoothbore trade gun or Fusil, something basic but well made that I could enjoy using. Nothing overly fancy as I’d like to keep the additional cash outlay down. Otherwise I’d like $675 for the set, plus shipping in the US. PP F&F preferred, but USPS money order is also fine.

Thanks for looking!

Wow! A Sibley built and engraved horn and a wampum belt strap too! This is classic collectible work brothers and sisters. I should have been born just a little bit richer, LOL. Congratulations to whoever acquires this fine dual piece of work.
