Just acquired a half stock Hawken 50 cal purported to have been made in the early 1970's by G Taylor. If the dating is close to being accurate I'm guessing that in the 70's makers were doing business with the Hawken Shope in St Louis. I stopped by there in the late 70's and staff were living in period Mtn attire. Neat place.

Anyone ever heard of or have any info regarding this maker? Thanks
