Put my new half gallon brass dog-eared trade kettle out for a bit on the weekend. It’s tin lined.
Awesome kettle! Great size for 1-3 people and doesn’t take up much room in the pack. I was surprised at how easily it cleaned up. I’ve used it for frying, baking, boiling, and once for an early season Gluehwein. One of my newest fave pieces of kit.

The Jeff Miller 2lb French trade axe kept the fire as well fed as we were.

Frying?

Be careful, for the temp for frying is 325° - 375° and the melting point of tin is a mere 450°, It's easy for that temp to spike when doing other than boiling, and you end up with the tin coming free and in the food..., don't ask me how I know 😔
