I figure this is a long shot but I’m looking for an L&R RPL flintlock for a Thompson Center rifle. I thought I would ask here first before I buy a new one.
thanks

I bought one last year and installed. Not sure if you've done this before, but thought I'd mention fit and finish is not great. I also had an issue with the touch hole lining up....I had to plug the existing touch hole and re-drill and tap a new hole.

Having said that, I think they are lot kinder on flint and provide more reliable spark and would probably do it again by a whisker. Even with the upgraded hammer, my TC lock doesn't perform as good as the L&R. Just my 2 cents.

Here is a good thread that I hijacked to ask some questions.

Good luck on finding one used.

Thanks for the reply. I’m not putting it in a T/C stock. It is going in a gun I am restoring. It fits the existing lock mortise pretty good with a little bit of fitting. I’ll antique it and alter it a bit to make it look rite.
regards
