Not dismissing your rate … but try US Postal Ground Advantage, as I just shipped 2 longrifles out, 40 & 42” barrels, and they were 1/2-that, without insurance, which would add some.

It is my understanding that it is unlawful to ship guns through USPS. Measurements 38x8x8 10#. If shipped to your address ground advantage would be $36 If allowed.

Don’t know where you folks get your information but it’s NOT against the law to ship long guns or muzzleloaders through USPS . Regular guns would have to be shipped to an FFL holder but muzzleloaders can be shipped to individual in most places.
