Could you photograph and show any marks on the barrel? I was thinking its belgian but proof marks would tell for sure.

There was a Simmons gunsmith in London but I’ll say Simmons of Birmingham, England, just going on the appearance,

I will see if I can find any markings on the barrel. I believe it was built by Joseph Simmons, Birmingham England some,time between 1801 to 1830. I found one that looks close that sold in auction but nothing exact

Hi,
It looks to be a nice late flint private purchase English officer's pistol. Probably made around 1810-1820. Value might be around $1200-$1500 if it has clear British proof marks. At auction on a good day, it might go a little higher.

This is the only thing on the barrel. Simmons with a symbol I can make out

Yes, there probably are proof marks underside of the breech area

Curious as to cal. and smooth or rifled bore.

Those are London proofs so probably Simmons of London but could be the Birmingham one; then again they might be the same person.

Smooth bore and inside diameter is 5/8” don’t know what that equates to. 60-62 cal is my guess
