SOLD Pine bowl made from 200+ year old wood

The 1819 house I salvage from has floor joists that are over 10' long and are 3" wide and 8" tall. I don't know if all are the same kind of wood but I got one small piece down that was used to frame a fire place and it's pine. Very very old growth pine if you look at those rings. It makes a lovely piece. I had intended to get rid of the wormy outer growth but I liked that up and down look of the bowl so I kept it. It is about 7" in diameter. It had old cut marks in the side and I left that in the bottom for fun. $65

Very nice heritage piece. I am a wood turner and have tried to turn pine but never with success. It is just too stringy in it's grain structure. But, ye dun gud.

Modern pine is terrible. I can't do anything with it. This old pine is much better.
