This is an older,(1997) and probably better Pietta 1858 in .44. Looks like it may have been a Buffalo Model and cut back to 8".
No sign of corrosion, barrel, cylinder, and internals all good. The bolt has dragged on the cylinder a little and marked it, but not gouged it.
It has a smooth action and tight lockup. 5 of the cones are slix-shot, 1 original. There is a little mismatch in the trigger guard (see photo) to frame fit
but it doesn't affect shoot-ability. The cylinder pin is a tight fit and you can see that it has been bashed on at some time in the past - it will remove and insert with finger pressure, but the fit
to frame is quite snug. This would fix with a few strokes with a hone. The brass and blue have a nice wear and patina. Rear sight is adjustable and has the internal blade.
This is a unique and functional 1858. Includes a RH Triple K holster. Priority shipped to you, $200. Private messages will get noticed first.
