Great. Sounds like you got a deal.
I picked up a replica Springfield 1816 for $399+shipping , but the action needs tuned. The 1816 is a close copy of the French 1777 so I will be anxious to hear how you like it. I plan on back dating mine to a model 1798 contracted by Whitney so I can use in an 1812 militia impression. Some work, but should be doable.Anyway it will be a lot less than the $1050 asked for by DGW!
