Hello from Lombard. Hi all!!! I am new to the site and just getting back into muzzleloading. I have been interested in antique firearms all the way back to the mid 1950's. Built my first guns from kits in the 1960's. Built my first Kentucy flinter in 1978 with a Sharon .45 cal. barrel. I was offered a good price for it so it went to a new owner in 1980. Built another in 1985-86 and still have it. It is another .45 cal. Kentucky with a Douglas 42 in. barrel and a Doc Hadaway P-13 lock. I understand the "P" was for a prototype lock. The stock is curly maple that was purchased at Friendship, In in the 1960's It's a great shooter.
I got into shooting M1 Garands with my sons but with the .30-06 ammo prices as high as they are I figured it was a good time to return to muzzleloading. The "Seadog" moniker comes from my time in the Navy as a Gunner's Mate and it is close to my actual last name. I look forward to exploring the site. Hope everyone has a great summer of shooting!
