This is a very interesting gun that I got in the mail today. Its a swedish snaphaunce gun with a 12 mm rifled barrel.

This is perhaps the most traditional rifle among peasants in Sweden. A type of gun that originated from germany around 1550. In some consvervative parts of Sweden it stayed the same until late 19th C, thats like 350 years. Some were converted to percussion as well. These rifles were made by local gunsmiths and many of them have really heavy rifled barrels. This gun is 123 cm long but weights 4,5 kg! Its not well balanced...

This one is probably from the 19th C. The stock is birch.

This is a perfect civil reenactment weapon for 17th-19th.

These gun were popular among nobles as well. This is a hybrid flintlock snaphaunce from the royal collection, dated 1722.

Verry Nice, Another name for that specific style of snaphance is the Baltic Sledge, Verry nice find, I would love to shoot it if givin the chance! Thats a wonderful piece! :hatsoff:

Since there are several new bits on this gun I will probably fire it, i´m just going to check the barrel for cracks. Its should be safe with its thick walls. I hope the accuracy is good....
