I was shooting this old 32 yesterday and just smiled every time I pulled the trigger. The hammer wont lock unless you set the trigger before cocking and I’m sure this isnt too safe but I kept her pointed down range and had zero accidental discharges. The bore isnt the best and the sights are off quite a lot (front sight too short). The stock is cracked but shooting little .310 round balls shouldnt hurt it. I’m wondering what era folks think this old rifle is from. I’ve read where the G Goulcher lock was made until 1872 but some folks knocked them off well after that. What say the experts?
