I have a chance to pic this up a Navy Arms Buffalo hunter. The gun appears to be in good shape with no pitting in the bore.I have always wanted one of these and it should make a good hunting rifle

Ah the Zouave carbine. Nice handling. Mine likes 65gn fff under a thumb push sized mini lubed with wax/veggie oil. Haven't got serious with it but just plinking it's smack on at 25 yards.
I'm not sure about this particular one but check the snail to make sure it's not brazed on. My understanding is the reenactor groups do not allow it for safety. Only recourse is rebarrel.
