Having just given birth to my latest project which was loosely based on a picture I saw in earlier post ( by Morko ) on medieval artillery I decided to have ago.
Sorry I did not record the construction but materials used (barrel & breech1018 ,wheels, from elm & ash the carriage is oak,all gathered from scrap.

That's a very well done cannon you have there sir.

If I owned it, I would be very tempted to fire it, at least once.

I would like to apologize for the delay in replying ,but I thank you all for your comments,
Since my first post I have managed to get to the range and give my lion a chance to roar (more like a me-ow) with only a .350 ball in a cardboard sabot and 15 grains of 3f ,the target was set at 25 yards, the first shot was recorded by a club member as I don't have a camera l ,please forgive the poor quality and noisy club members in the background but for what its worth I include a link.

The first two shots were high the 3rd hit the outside of a 8inch circle,4th at 9 o'clock ,5th at 12 & my last shot hit the inner ring at 3-o'clock,I had a great time and consider this to be a work in progress .
( comments or questions Please feel free to submit on the back of a ten pound note)

I don't feel it is "loosely based". I feel my images were closely followed.

A friend and fellow member E-mailed me that you had posted on photo bucket.

I never have the time to visit forums, so even if you had been thoughtful enough to comment or thank me for my images, I would have missed it.
