REDUCED Neat project for someone. This little smoothbore (I'm being generous) Monkey Gun has a .640 bore. The 25.75" octagonal barrel has an even rust brown patina. The bore is not corroded, but has heavy concentric machineing marks its full length. Typical of mass produced trade guns. The breech needs a good soaking in penetrating oil to release nipple, which is in good condition otherwise. Stock has a few hairline cracks that could use attention. Has a functioning clamshell patchbox and steel buttplate. The under barrel lug to hold stock on is missing. Looks like one could be easily fabricated. Only markings are a * on top of barrel and a P and numbers 18 or 81 on underside. $125 + Shipping.

OldRust provided this information:

"FYI: With that scalloped patch box it was manufactured by AyA Aguirre y Aranzabal in Ebar, Spain. These folks have been making guns since 1915 and are still building high end shotguns today.

The P stamp is the Ebar Proof house date code P =1945. A lot of the stampings on these little guys are weak. They are probably there somewhere on yours
