To my knowledge, only the dates will change for 2006. (will post more info as it becomes available)

Thanks for the info! Are you hunting in MN this year. I usually plan a trip to MT for Muleys and Antelope and this will be my first year with the ML

Isn't this page already listed in our "LINKS" section?

How many of you other MN hunters hunt the ML season? One of the reasons I do is because then I can hunt anywhere in the state. While I live in the SE corner, Dad's place (where I grew up) is up on Mille Lacs.

If I were going to hunt just down here, I think I would have better luck picking one of the earlier seasons and just using the muzzleloader instead of a shotgun.

I "hunted" last year's ML season for a day. As far as going wherever you want to hunt and either gendered animal, there is definately no advantage to ML hunting in MN, in fact it is more difficult hunting after firearms season. Is it legal to hunt firearms season with a ML, if you stayed within your zone, etc. I guess I never really thought about it. It would be better to pick an earlier weekend firearms season. We should lobby for an open sights, traditional only, ML season to start after archery, before firearms.

Oh don't think it hasn't been tried. The only thing is that we would have to have a louder voice than the archery guys (who seem to see the 3 month archery season as "Their's").

Where does everybody live in MN? Although I am in Wabasha county, I grew up on Mille Lacs. I posted a flier for the history fest/rondy comin up at the end of June. Anybody interested?
