REDUCED This carbine would rate MINT or NOS (It came out of a defunct gunshop in Ventura, CA that catered to CW guys). Dixie catalog describes it best:

"Originally manufactured by Eldridge S. Greenwood and William C. Gray of Columbus,GA between 1862 and 1864 for Confederate Artillery units during the Civil War. Since raw materials were scarce in the South, Southern citizens donated their personal items to be melted down to manufacture the hardware for these guns. This reproduction features a one-piece European walnut fullstock, oil finish, 35 1/2" long with 3" drop and 13 3/4" trigger pull. Blued barrel is 58 caliber, 23 1/2" long tapered round 1 1/8" at breech to 15/16" at muzzle. Button rifled .006" deep, 1-48" twist, 5 lands measure .577" and 5 grooves measure .589". Front sight is brass blade and rear sight is .270 dovetail base, open steel. Brass furniture, color casehardened lock marked "J.P. Murray Columbus GA", single trigger, two barrel bands -- double strapped upper, sling swivels. Steel ramrod with 10x32 male thread. Percussion with 5/16x24 nipple uses musket caps. Load with 60 grains FFg black powder and .570 patched round ball or .575 minie ball. Overall length is 39 1/2" and total weight is 8 lbs. N/SSA approved. Made by Euro Arms, Italy."

Unless you buy new or have box, impossible to upgrade this one. Retails at Dixie for $1050 + tax and shipping (on sale/out of stock). $825 Shipped.
