From DGW catalog:
"This reproduction of the Confederate copy of the British Enfield carbine features a one-piece European walnut fullstock, 35" long with satin oil finish, 2" drop and 14" trigger pull. Its browned barrel is .58 caliber, 24" long, round tapered 1 1/8" at breech to 13/16" at muzzle. Button rifled .006" deep, 1-48" twist, 5 lands measure .577" and 5 grooves measure .589". Front sight is 3/8" dovetail base with steel blade, rear sight is .325" dovetail base, open steel. Brass furniture, color casehardened lock marked "Cook & Brother, N.O.,1861" forward of the hammer w/ Confederate stars and bars stamped on the tail. Single trigger, two barrel bands -- screw type, sling swivels. Steel ramrod."
This is an early model with SN 0320. It comes in its original box, which is pretty rough. The gun would be MINT except for two tiny issues. First, there are scratches on top of breech from someone trying to take nipple out using probably a small wrench. Second, there is a pretty noticeable 1" scratch on right side of butt near heel. Other than that, only the most minor of handling marks. It is absolutely unfired. These retail now around $1200 plus tax and shipping, if available. A bargain at $875 Shipped. More photos on request.

Good day sir, I extend my warmth to you.

Might I ask the builder of this fine piece?

Regards,

-Smokey
Geez, Smokey. When I started reading your message I thought it was from some dethroned African prince seeking my help in recovering a large inheritance. LOL. This was made by Armi San Paolo. Imported nowadays by Euroarms EMF. New ones made by Pedersoli.
