Who's selling the TC maxi hunter bullet mold? I'd like to pick one up and start casting my own. Also, what grain bullets do they cast?

I have only seen them on EBay and it was a year or so ago. They went for a very high price. I don't remember what weights they were in.
Good luck.

Check Track of the wolf. They had them listed in their 2004 catalog. Dixie gun works may also have them. I think they are made by Lyman.

Lyman makes them, but only in .45 & 50 cal, IIRC....(I'm outa luck, as I was looking for a .54 cal). :(

Maxi Hunter or Maxi Ball?
The original question was Maxi Hunter.
I have only seen them on Ebay.

Lyman makes a 54 cal mold for the plains bullet.
Saw it listed in my Track of the Wolf catalog which is year or two old. I think from looking at the style of the bullet you would be happy with it.

I have the plains bullet mold in .54. It cast a bullet like the Hornady plains bullet but with a flat base and nose. It's a great bullet for thick skinned critters but won't expand like a Maxi-hunter.
I thought about drilling a hollow point out of some to see how well they expand.

You see maxi-ball mold really regular on ebay but not to many maxi-hunter molds. I have a maxi-ball mold & they are 370 gr. store bought maxi-hunters are 350 gr. in 50 cal. :hatsoff:

What about using the TC Maxi Shok device to give them a dumdum or hollow point, depending on your preference?
