I finished sanding my GPR stock today and applied the stain. I like to give credit to good products when I encounter them. LMF stain is top notch.

Have used LMF stains w/ excellent results and also Jim Klein's {Dangler's} and at times walnut/mahogany "SuperStain" which penetrates sealer when wet sanding. Too bad this last stain is no longer available. I use up to 3 coats of certain colors irregardless of brand to achieve standout curl and desired undertones. When the last coat of stain is completely dry, the whole stock is vigorously rubbed w/ 0000 stl wool to remove unabsorbed stain which can impart "cloudiness"....Fred

what ever happened to the rifle you were collecting money for to build the fireman from 9-11
i wasnt collecting for that, a member of my forum was, and he quit the forum and moved on. and to tell you the truth, i have no idea what happened to the gun. it was supposed to go to tony's family. he does cruise some forums and goes be the screen name of "mongrel". i really would like to think he did the honorable thing and sent the rifle.
