Location
New England, New South Wales, Australia.
A wooden false muzzle and a short and long bullet starter for my .50 under hammer target rifle.
I decided to make a two handed starter as a concession to safety concerns and as age creeps on the ball handled starter requires two hands anyway.
Body of the starter is my usual scrap plywood and a couple of bits of Queensland Walnut.
Will be trying it nexr weekend.

I was wonderin what ya meant by "two handed",,
Long enough to grip with one, and able to smack with the other,, good idea.
How come ya drilled a hole all the way through the smacker piece? Or is that the guide part?

Does the depression go to the muzzle, or is it facing up, away from the muzzle?
If the depression is for the patch, and the wood piece is over the muzzle, does the ball go through the hole of the wood piece?
