I just purchased a Jukar rifle that is marked 44 caliber on the barrel, this rifle looks like new, my question is what round-ball diameter do I use in this rifle ? I know a 440 doa is for a 45 caliber. Also amyome ever fire one of these guns? do they shoot ok? thanks

Some use a .433 ball in their .44 rifles. Sounds like a good place to start.
The Jukars aren't real fancy but they can be pretty accurate.

If you have a .440 ball you could see how close it fits to your bore without a patch. If it looks like there is room, try putting the ball in with a large piece of patch material. Just part way at first so it gives you an idea how it will fit and if it will work. The large piece of cloth is to help you pull it back out. Otherwise do what the others said and go with a .433 ball.

I have never had one of these rifles in hand, but every pistol with Jukar markings I have had that said .44 took a .433 roundball and .010 patch and works rather well.

I like Jukar guns. Nothing to write home about, not worth showing off, but they shoot well enough and are pretty decent for the price.
