Up until a couple of years ago I would buy my patching material bulk and wash it before I cut it in strips. I did this because the majority of the time I used spit for a lube. I’m at a point now where I prefer to buy the patches precut. I just purchased some cotton (not ticking) patches from TOW. They are made by Eastern Maine. Do these need to be washed before I stick them in my mouth?
