Sturdy, single-edged blade with a double-edged point, the reverse side bears a Pi mark. A small wheellock-pistol mounted at the base of the blade. On the obverse side a small wheellock with engraved gilded and pierced wheel cover. Spring-loaded safety lever, cock with original lead-covered pyrite. Two-stage barrel, octagonal then round (remnants of bluing) in 7 mm calibre and a simple trigger mechanism on the reverse side. Iron hilt, the joins of the bars bearing small chiselled hands. Grip with renewed brass and iron wire winding and braided ferrules. Conical, tenfold faceted pommel. Length 95 cm.
Rare combination weapon. Similar swords are known from Dresden, Augsburg and Solingen. Cf. Lewerken/Karpinski, Kombinationswaffen des 15. - 19.Jahrhunderts, nos. 29 ff.
 
Very impressive but beyond my abilities i believe, but then ya never know. I have to discover a workable wheel lock design i can make first. :) :surrender:
