SOLD Haversack with JOIN OR DIE motif

A new haversack style forage bag I handmade, “inspired” by the late 18th and early 19th century hunting accoutrement. The body of the bag is period correct striped heavy weight duct fabric distressed in a walnut hull dye, and fully lined with an interior pocket. All hand-stitching done with natural linen and hemp beeswaxed thread. The flap is veg tanned leather, incised and painted with B. Franklin’s early American folk art motif of the French and Indian War “JOIN OR DIE” design. The strap in a heavy woven jute webbing. The bag measures 9.4 x 11.4 with a 54” strap. This would make a wonderful addition for anyone into Muzzleloading…hunting…reenacting...or as a beautiful wall hanging decor.
