I picked up a .58cal Hawken style pistol with a Percussion lock missing the hammer. Lock is stamped H.W.Robbins and appears to be a 2" throw. I am unable to find info on what appears to be a good lock. Assistance appreciated.

I gave my daughter a rifle I made in 1973, using a Robbins lock. It was the finest percussion lock I have ever seen. Dixie Gun works used to have a great number of hammers. They also sold Robbins locks. Maybe they can help.

Thanks much! The man that built this pistol told me it was a great lock and it looks to be. I will contact Dixie.
