These are the first 10 shots out of the rifle since Brad Emig worked on the lock last fall. 10 shots, 50 yards, Swiss FFFG powder, .350 ball, dawn and water patch lube, pillow ticking patches cut at the muzzle, H&H barrel. The flyer occurred when the barrel heated up in the sun and I was getting mirages. The group measured 1 1/4" without the flyer.

So I was holding on the bottom of the black so it's printing approx. 2 1/2" high at 50 yards. I'll give it a try at 100 to see how it does.

I dont see how the barrel could heat up to affect the shot. I bet the mirages were the reason for the flyer
 
I'll have to take some new pictures. The color on this rifle has mellowed considerably from these first pictures.
