Sorry, smooth side inside. rough out. can be dressed/ cleaned up with rubbing with scotch bright pad when you feel the need.

NO, that would have added another $75 on them. I washed my F&I (NoFringe) leggings, made from the same order of Elk that these and my war shirt were made from. When they're just slightly damp, I'd roll them side to side and wring them by just squeezing them (No to squeeze water but to relax the drying leather) and then roll top to bottom and do the same and they dry out perfect.
