Worked at the forge today. Haven't been at it for some time now. I had big plans for my three month vacation from babysitting but somehow things didn't work out. Any how I managed to burn one knife blade up today. Then I got one right and drew out the blade on a pipe axe. Also managed to get a trigger guard hammered out. I like using my coal forge for most of my work even though you have to tend it more and keep your mind on the job. When you let your mind wander you get burned up blades. I do use a gas forge and love it for heat treating knife blades.
