The pouch is made from veg tanned cow hide in 3oz thickness. 5” X 4 3/4” dyed brown with a soldered loop brass button, hand stitched with flax thread and made water resistant with a leather dressing of my own making. The steel is 2 1/2” inside loop and sparks like a dragon! Comes with a flint shard, hemp fiber and char cloth. Enough to get you up and running for a few fires.
When I’m hunting, hiking or trekking, modern or primitive, I keep a fully stocked flint and steel kit on my person. Usually tucked into the wallet firmed by my hunting shirt. If EVERYTHING goes wrong and the canoe dumps or Ive lost my gun in a fall or fleeing marauding scalp takers I still have the ability to make fire and that could be the difference between surviving and pushing up daisies!
This kit costs $40 shipped to conus. I accept checks, money orders, PayPal cleverly concealed cash etc…..
Message me for payment details.
Thanks for your consideration
