Deer antler muzzleloader tools

I made these muzzleloader tools for a buddy of mine. Ball starter (9mm brass ends aren't traditional but it is the only thing I found that would work), nipple pick and 80 gr powder measurer.

Antler is simply a handy material for making many things. I have made many short/long starters with antler grips and ramrod hickory the stems.

Made a few powder measures from antler. Short starter too. My 50 grain powder measure is from a goat horn.

I use a 3 antler butt piece for a short starter, and a graduated horn tip for a power measure.

I've often used cartridge cases on short starters. They look better when you grind off the cartridge rim.
