i have been using a .395 hand cast rb, .018 TOTW mink oil patch and 60 grains in my .40 which has been very accurate not quite clover leaf but very good groups. at the range yesterday i had a small container of .400 rbs that i hand cast and jus for the hell of it wanted to tray a few. now with the .395's and said load groups were just a fraction to the right not even an inch so i was good with that instead of moving sights around. well first shot with the .400 was dead nuts center 10x !!! as i was reloading for the next shot i noticed i had grabbed the wrong powder measure and this one was set at 50 grains. next shot same hole! 3 shot touching! and a new load for the .40 was born! dropped down to 30 grains for a squirrel load and very little difference all shooting was bench at 25 yards for load development. shot off hand for another dozen shots and was knocking over bowling pins out to 50 yards very happy with range work today!

the paper says 4 shot group after sight in, but is was 5 shots, off the bench at 50yds,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

WELL DONE

Usually "The Hand of Fate" slaps me in the back of the head, but I'm glad it gave you a loading hint!
