Hi everyone,

I picked this old relic up in a collection I bought about a year ago. Looks like it must have been stuck in a very, very damp basement for 200 years. I believe that it's an early English import, but I'm not sure what it may be exactly.

The lock is about 6in long with a pretty defined banana shape. The pan is unsupported. The sideplate almost looks french, but the other components say English to me.
I do believe that the checkering is pretty early too, with the diamond and dot pattern, but likely something that was done in the US at a later point in the gun's life.

Any thoughts?
