Hello all!
I am new to the forum, but not ml'ing. I have been out of ml shoulder arms for a while. Great forum! Thanks for having me.

I decided to take delivery of a Sitting Fox smoothbore .54 cal kit. It will give me the versatility I need in the hunting woods. I got antsy and decided to make a powder horn for hunting, from a bison harvest from earlier this year. Thanks for looking. Irondog

That looks nice! How much does it hold? Also that's a lot of meat in the freezer!!

Thanks! It holds about three-quarters, to a whole pound of powder. I wouldn't fill it for field use, probably leave a half-pound in the can safe and dry. Once it's properly beezwaxed, I will trust it more.

Ya the buff went 900 lbs. I don't have the wall space for a huge trophy, and I wouldn't shoot the balogna bull for eating.

interesting looking horn. finishing up my first attempt with a buffalo horn - a boatload of difference between buff and cow ... who have thought ...

don't even think about using any kind of power tools on buffalo unless you're outdoors and upwind... as my kids would say,

EEEEEEwwwww!

Here, and I thought that (power tools) was a good attribute..............keeps the wife out of the shop, it does.
