Hunting deer but nothing happening. Bored! About that time a Blue Grouse popped his head over a branch in a pine tree. He was sitting on a small branch, shielded from my sight, except for his feet, by a larger branch. He popped his head up regularly to look at me. I decided I would pick his head off next time he showed it to me. Oooops! This time as I prepared to pull the trigger, that rascal popped waaaaay up. I hit him with a .50 caliber ball, dead center on his breastbone. Not much left to eat. Skunked again, Polecat
