American long rifle

I live thousands of miles from America. have always admired the works of our colleagues from the forum and other gunsmiths working in the United States or in other regions of the world.he decided to build their own versions of the American long rifle. barrel was manufactured in a "factory" style, but make changes and create the necessary patina.Other parts built from scratch using simple techniques to work, I care about "antique patina".the progress of my work, I will show and I hope that my version of the American rifle will not be evil.

Nice work so far. Most locks used on American longrifles have slotted screws holding the cock in place. Even if not necessary on this lock, you could slot it and it would look more "regular".

Good start. You might check the wrist against some pictures. Looks like you still need to remove some wood there.

It looks very nice the only thing "different" that I see is that the entry pipe seems very close to the lock but as it is not a replica of a specific gun it really does not matter
