While I'm at it, let's show off my pride and joy. 42" bbl, .50 cal, Bucks County style. I had to wait 5 years all told, but it's worth it.

Very nice...I have always admired Allen's work. 5 years---wow! I had to wait that long once for a custom knife, but no more orders like that for me--I may not live long enough to see the product at 61 yrs old!!! Have you shot it yet?

A. Martin is one of my favorite gunmakers. I was just over at his place last Monday, you ought to see the Allentown gun he's working on now....bad case of gun envy. :haha:

Mike,
My favorite gun a .45cal has a GM barrel
on it that I waited for for almost a year. The reason being they were not making the barrel I
needed at the time. GM gave me several outlets
for the barrel I needed including DGW and TOTW, but I chose to stay with GM.To make a long story
short when I received the barrel there was a
problem that I contacted GM about it. No problem
got the barrel back within 10 days with problem
solved.
I waited 6months for a small damascus patch
knife that is my P&J but 5 years for a F/L ain't
going to happen. Even if I had paid for it, when it got here I would probably ask what it was :rotf: :rotf: :hmm: :rotf:
snake-eyes :hatsoff:

It's partly my fault. I got married and had a baby in the meantime, and I told Allen not to hurry. He didn't. I have shot it at about 50 yds offhand, and it seems to be a tack driver, even with my limited ability. Next week is spring break from school - I teach - so I'm looking forward to making a little more smoke!
