theres a couple of .45 perc. pistols i've been thinking about buying, the one i'm leaning toward is a "Jukar Tower pistol"i know its spanish made asw i've googled it. the reason i like this one is because of its 9" barrel as opposed to the 6" other one. its rifled. i was wondering if anyone knows the exact diameter conical it might take, what suggested loads are for those pistols, etc.

Also there was a .50 hawken that looked alot stouter with adj. sights, i was wonderingb if anyone knows its max load and how far away you could realistically kill a deer with one.

thank you for any advice you may have,it is appreciated.

As I recall the Tower pistol has no sights making it difficult to get shots on target. If you can cut dove tails into the barrel and put sights on it, it should be a good shooter. The Hawken pistols have a good reputation and being 50 cal are more powerful. Loads for a .45 cal generally start with 20 to 30 grains of 3f powder. A .50 can go with a bit more.
