I can't tell you what I used for a finish cause I don't know. I sure wish I knew, I'd like more of it. I obtained some chemicals from an old timey gun builder and this stuff was in an unmarked bottle. It burned right through my examination gloves. :/ It turned it black as tar. That's all that is on it at this point.Cheyenne said:

It weighs a tad over 8 lbs with a 13 3/4" pull and holds nicely for me.
It's far from perfect. There is no forestock molding, nose cap, toe plate, unsophisticated carving & engraving. The angle of the patch box is off a bit and a little short, etc. I could go on but I need more coffee 1st.
