I am offering for sale a Miroku 1863 reproduction rifle musket. This musket is in excellent shape with a shiny, crisp bore. This rifle musket was purchased off the forum and there is nothing wrong with this musket. I just have two. If I had no other, there would be no way I would part with this one. I can ship with buyer paying shipping costs. I can only ship in the United States to places where it is legal to ship and receive. I am asking $975 for this fine rifle musket. The rear band has been replaced with an original solid band ( to make the musket more period correct).

Now asking $950 for the musket.

Several pieces seem to be blued where others are not. Were these missing or damaged and replaced?

On these Springfield's the barrel band springs and rear sights were blued, the lock could be case hardened. The rest of the gun has the armoury bright finish. I believe the gun is correct the way it is.

Yes, but one barrel band spring is blue and another isn’t. Besides, I owned one of these years ago and the finish of all pieces was alike.

You got better eyes than me, they all look blue. Maybe some rubbing due to taking the bands in and off?

I have the rear band that came with the musket. On the reproductions by Miroku, the clamp style rear band is incorrect. It has been replace on this one with a correct solid band which also happens to be an original band.

On the original muskets, the rear sight was blued and the lock was case hardened. The rest was left bright
