For sale is an original Austrian Lorenz which was converted to a smooth bore flintlock. As I understand it these were converted from Austrian tube lock, or percussion guns to Flintlocks for sale to other countries with restrictions on the latest (percussion) technology.
The barrel mics out at 59/60 caliber and appears to be in good shape length is 37 1/4" long. Overall the gun has a nice finish on the wood stock which has a small and old repair near the lock side plate. The lock is in fine shape, holds half-cock and has a hard hitting cock which puts out a nice shower of sparks. I had purchased this on a bit of a whim, but have decided it doesn't really fit into my scope of collecting at the moment. It displays really nicely and overall is a pretty cool looking piece.
Price is $850 shipped from Massachusetts to the lower 48. Would also consider trade towards an original P53 Enfield or trade for a defarbed reproduction Enfield and possible other early/mid 19th century military pieces.
