    Olive oil for lube?

I use it 50/50 with beeswax. Works as a great bullet lube when shooting bp rounds in my 44 special.

    Flintlock Light Loads?

Good stuff. You can sight in at 13 yds and be real close to dead on at 75 yds, just fine tune once you check at longer distance. I have tried 30 gr in my 50, may have to try 20 gr. this would be just for plinking since the only time i could small game hunt with a 50 in arkansas is during deer...

    .54 English Sporting Rifle Tests

I am drooling over that rifle! Cheap source of linen is the local thrift store. U can usually get a large women's skirt made of 100% linen for $3-4.

    replacing lock on Pedersoli Kentucky

Have u tried bevel up and down on the flints? I have the same rifle, mine works well with the beveled side up

    New to panlubing

I shoot bp in my 44 special as well. I use 50/50 beeswax/olive oil. Works real well. I went to a cowboy shoot with a friend and never had to clean anything because of binding even after 60 rounds.

    Lead Free Balls for Muzzleloaders

Actually you could just cut a large circle around all major cities and drop them in the drink. Then you probably have a state that is mostly somewhat conservative

2nd range day and a question for you

That's some good shootin'! I use 50/50 beeswax/olive oil for patch lube Mink tallow from track of the wolf works well also, but for informal shooting spit works well. Read somewhere you can sight in a muzzleloader at 13 yds and be real close "dead on" at 70-80 yds.

Thanks. I figured people kept saying wasp so i figured regular old wasps nest would work. I will keep eye out for a hornet nest.

    pedersoli frontier frizzen..?

found that my flint was knapped fairly short and was hitting at a more severe angle to the frizzen. it sparks well but doesnt throw the frizzen back all the way. actually the sparks get thrown more directly into pan. I guess it wont hurt to leave as is. thanks for everyones input.
