Interesting cap jam solution for open top revolvers

Howdy William P, .014 WOW. I'm experimenting now with different materials to make caps out of. The recommended free souce, Aluminum cans I have been finding are .0035 to .004 per my micrometer. The make your own cap's die set from 22LR Reloader starts to get difficult to use with pretty...

    RWS 1075 Percussion Caps

Howdy F.G., Round 'bout month ago, I found that fella (Ryan) on Gun Broker too. That was Jan 11th. Had to wait to 27th to get delv. I ordered one tin, which was 250 caps. Total price as I recall was nearly 80 dollar, (includin' tax and shippin'). NUTS... Well that was before I started a...

Nice Griswold with Crappy Grips - Now at Midway USA: WOOD GRIPS WANTED

Thanks for the reply. LOL, I've made a few guns and stocks. So, I recon I can hand the woodwork there. As far as gun shows, well frankly - I rarely visit them these days, being an old cogger, not willing to take the DeathVax, I usually pass on intentionally diving into fellow human packed...

Nice Griswold with Crappy Grips - Now at Midway USA: WOOD GRIPS WANTED

Evenin' Boys and Fellow Shooters... I have to admit it, I'm becoming a BIG FAN of MidwayUSA! I see now that have a decent looking Pietta 1851 Griswold in trad. 36 cal in stock for only $249. I don't see any case hardening, cylinder looks plain, - so in all respects - historically correct to...

    Howdy Boys

Thanks very kindly from all you Grand Shooters. Glad to be among such fine folks. Brings a tear to me eye - of course nearly anything does after enough decent bourbon and water. Cheers Boys. (I should say, that's heavy on the bourbon, and light on the H2O. ;-)

    Loaded BP Revolver

Howdy, could you kindly please tell me the ratio you use for the ball ammo lube for that is oilve oil and beeswax? I've tried that Beeswax and Lamb's tallow mix, and Lordy Lordy Lordy, that Lamb's tallow smells way too ripe for my likin'. Never thought of trying olive oil for bullet lube...

How Do I Get Rid of Old Percussion Caps?

Howdy, you might be surprised to find out, caps are hard to come by these days... in fact, some of us are makin' our own! But you can sell those old caps, just as they are for good money on Gun Broker. Go have a gander at what they go for... A tin of 250 New RWS 1075 with freight will go around...

    Howdy Boys

Well, I'm a long time gettin' here, Pilgrims. But, here I am now. Been into black powder weapons off an on since '82. Gettin' back in strong now it seems... Was busy on TFF in the Black Powder Section for a month or so -- but mostly that place is filled with crickets... Some odd fellas there...
