    Thoughts on my Frizzen?

    I used a 4" razer scraper blade. Which are either 1085 or 1095 carbon steel. Cleaned up the frizzen with a Dremel and a 80 grit sanding wheel. Then did the same to the side of the blade that was going to fasten to the frizzen. I then shaped the blade close to the frozen size with aviation...

    lead melting pots recommendation

    I bought the Lee Pro4-20. I like it for casting I use it for casting balls conicals and fishing weights. I don't use it to process dirty lead I process that in cast iron pot and a propane stove.

    Pistol Ramrod

    I built a pistol ramrod for the range. Might even carry it with the pistol hunting. I think it will work for a short starter too. I was getting a sore hand at the range loading pillow ticking patches. Not now. What does everyone use for there pistols???

    August Postal Match

    Well I took the new trapper pistol out to shoot it in. Had 5 caps left at the end. Range was 50yrds off the bench. .50 cal .490 ball with pillow ticking 35gr 3f powder 3 in the stems one high one low I was happy. Need to drop the sights a little.

    A question for my fellow Hunters

    I use alcohol soaked patch then a dry one. Use a second alcohol patch to wipe the pan and frizzen. I carry a baggie of them with me just in case it a damp day and the pan gets gummy. It has always went off.
